Loggerhead turtle attacks camera

This loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) attempts to eat or attack the camera - perhaps he's responding to his reflection in the lens. Loggerheads are a threatened species: they perish as accidental fishing by-catch, and their nesting beaches are plundered by introduced species (dogs, pigs) and people who harvest turtle eggs - often illegally.

Definitely not attacking - loggerheads can overturn a boat if they go on the attack - looks much more like a friendly attempt to see if the camera was edible - maybe the lens looks like a jellyfish, their favourite?
