what lift and what size tires on the GMC cummins? I've got the same truck and is getting a dana up front. Got a buddy that did a cummins swap in his 97 chevy I'm thinking of an LBZ Dmax in the near future.

@davidblainesbetter by dumping waaaaayyy too much fuel in an engine.
with bigger turbos they would smoke less but the engine can only handle so much

actually the truck is an 89! Check the vin if you don't believe me. You might also know GM never had that style of crew cab back in 1989. I grafted my 1989 firewall onto a 98 crew cab that was wrecked really hard in the fire wall and installed the new style interior. I also had to severly modify the floor but you would never know untill you pulled the carpet. The floor pan also had to be modfied pretty good to make the 2005 GMC seats work.
