Lego Football Stadium

This is a stadium that I created to display at the 2009 BrickWorld event in Chicago. The stadium is 6.25 feet wide by 10 feet long and about 2 feet high. This creation has taken 2.5 years to plan and build. The stadium is an original design so that several features from other stadiums could be combined into one. This is version 1 of the stadium. Version 2 includes adding mini figures to the stands and football field, building a retractable dome and creating a highlight film of all the action during the game.

How did you get the legos that were needed to make this stadium?

@MrProctology - Most of the bricks I ordered from BrickLink. However, I did buy some bricks from a couple local Lego stores and on their online site as well.

@Obezzzz did it cost a lot? Just curious....

@MrProctology - I know it was expensive, but I am not sure what it cost to build the stadium. I will probably never want to know the true cost.. :) Although, I have to admit that part of the cost is to start increasing my Lego inventory. I am also not done working on the stadium. I am making some modifications and planning on building a dome.

@Obezzzz Wow! I would kill to watch you work on it! I love building stadiums... I only wish I could have an amount of lego pieces that I needed to make a custom stadium like yours.Will you be coming to Utah anytime soon? To show off the stadium or what not?

@MrProctology - Thanks. I wasn't planning on being in Utah anytime soon, but if they have a Lego Conference there sometime I might make the trip.
