Kamloops Idol 2011 Preliminaries: Jeremy Androsoff sings (This Is) A Song For The Lonely by Cher

This is Jeremy singing "(This Is) A Song For The Lonely" by Cher for the Kamloops Idol Preliminary round on Canada Day July 1st, 2011 in Riverside Park in Kamloops, BC. As you can see, I am dressed as Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. I would have made it onto the semi finals, only the judges decided that because I had written down that I had wanted to do a Japanese song in the next round, they decided not to pass me on...

Now, aside from the fact that I wasn't even given the option to choose an english song to do, this was very discriminatory of them, as there were so many other multicultural presentations being put on at the same time around the park. Just goes to show that there is sadly still prejudice out there...

On the plus side, it was a lot of fun either way, and they did ask me to come back and do an encore between the semi-finals and the finals, but it still would have been nice if they would have given me a chance to show that I could wow the crowd with a Japanese song...

Poor Jeremy. I think you had the most stage presence and whether it actually be the singing or the costume ... you had the most people stop along the path and watch. ^.^
