Then we enter the Cave of St. John where the Evangelist wrote the Book of the Apocalypse, the final chapter of the Bible. A final look around the seaside village then we re-join our Louis Cruise ship, Cristal.

I am so sad to hear the news about Panormitis passing. He was such a fine person and excellent guide, from a Patmos family of many generations.  Just this morning I was thinking about him -- something I rarely do -- remembering our extra walk around the Chora, and visit to the sacred cave. He left us on my birthday, adding to the close connection I feel with this special soul.
