@emza62333 Yeah "The Other side of the Mountain" was a true story that in many ways ended badly if you ever get the chance to see it The movie or read it (could borrow from the Library) I would recommend it. It had a sequel that was also good but not as much of a tragic ending.

@CodedLockFilms Never seen Twilight could it be anywhere near as bad as Monty Python and the Holy grail or Epic movie, or Scarey movie, or Airplane, etc. all spoofs of better movies. Some people obviously want stories as stupid as possible that's why Saturday night live has been on for so many years.

The time traveler who came back was used in a story he didn't win the lottery it was sporting events and it was in Back to the Future 2, did you see it was that where you got idea but replaced sporting events with Lottery? Of course what if the book had miss prints was the guy smart enough to factor that possiblity in? How do you know what ticket numbers are going to be at what stores is there even a way to find that out without going to every store?

It certainly is possible for metaphors to show up in real life. My main conundrum in my life is about not being able to handle being close to people. And I actually had until quite recently a vision disorder that prevented me from having depth perception.
When I realized this I found it hilarious. My social problems and my physical problems both involved an inability to deal with distance, in both an actual physical sense, and a metaphorical social sense.

Hey, obviously some people prefer bad storytelling. There are Twilight fans, after all.

@bandgeek8408 Okay, I see your point... But I still disagree. I, too, like to use stories as an escape from real life... but sometimes, I'd rather use them to remind me of what real life is for others. Haven't you ever enjoyed a story that ended badly, just as real life sometimes does?
But I see your point, and respect your ideas. You're an excellent debater. Although, I would like to note that my English Lit teacher would string you up for using the world "relatable." =]

Very interesting and informative. Will you do more videos like this one? How about a Philosophy Tuesday or any other day?

I usually say that something in the story is unrealistic if someone does something out of character. For example, if Harry tap danced around Voldy's body at the end of DH, I would say that it was an unrealistic thing. HOWEVER, I guess I could just say that was out of character instead of saying it was unrealistic. =)

I just learned something. Youtube 1 - TV 0

Yep, you're a teacher. You explained that extremely well. And yes, you are awesome. =)
This was very interesting and made me think about the storytelling in a new way. I've never been very good in analyzing stories even tough I'd like to, so I think things like these will might push me to the right direction.

@hobbitnotes These are all ideas that have developed from my reviews of books and movies and watching other people do it.

Well, you could still argue that he died of a heart attack as the spell hit him. Sorry, just splitting hairs here, but I do agree with your argument very much.

@scratchingcat Well sure, but if you're going to take that route, you could argue that EVERYONE inevitably dies of a heart attack. =)
