A visit to Kolmanskop, an abandoned diamond mining village established by German colonists, a few kilometers inland of Luderitz Bay in the then South West Africa, after diamonds were discovered there in 1908. Th village was finally abandoned in 1954.
See also my video of an impromptu performance, in the Kolmanskop gymnasium hall, by the University of the Free State Choir who visited on the same day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQQgMz8wzrE
This place looks amazing. This is something mysterious and awe inspiring one would never forget if they had the chance to visit. I would think the end of the evening with the sun casting stark shadows over everything would be my ideal time if I ever had the chance.
Thank you for uploading this very interesting video in such clarity.

Nice music for this video Dennis. Interesting place to visit. I got a little bit of motion sickness watching, though :-)
