this isn't really about the lights. its about the space and color in relation to the sky. so yes, the best time to see this is at sunset. james brings the color of the sky into the space by making it almost completely flat. if you look at the black square you can see how it almost looks like its painted on. it's pretty amazing to see at sunset.

What's behind the curtain? Yes, go to the second floor and you can see the source, However, if you don't think it's a big deal; then it's NOT. That's the beauty of art (in the eye of the beholder) pax vobiscum

If you google Turrell (he also has a facebook fan page) you'll see that he is a master at setting light, colour and shape into settings. xoxoxo Enjoy, I'm off to try to catch this at DAWN for the first time (yes, envy me lolo :P)

I've seen computer controlled strips of LEDs that could be made to change in a spectrum like this.

The lights are in the horizontal beams just below the roof. I think...
