It Crawled Out Of The Woodwork

At the Norco Energy Research Commission, a cleaning lady is finishing her midnight chores. As she vacuums her machine picks up a small inanimate black mass. It is sucked into the chamber of the cleaner and there it feeds on the energy motor. Suddenly it grows to giant proportions and begins to destroy everything it sees. It is, for the first time on Earth, pure raw energy and it is completely uncontrollable.

I agree. It's absolutely in my personal top 3 favorite episodes. There's something about the atmosphere and pace of this one that's so unique and captivating. A masterpiece, right up there with the very best TV ever accomplished.

The Outer Limits original episodes are the closes thing to a time machine I can think of. Watching this episode I'm back in our living room when I was ten. I see my mother the way she looked back then. I'm sitting on the floor with my younger brother. That same feeling comes over me. I see everything so clearly! The latest Fantastic Four comic book is on the table.

@libraryquiet -Comment appreciated. One of my many favorites. We must be about the same age. The seens where the cleaning lady and the security gaurd get zapped, are so horrible but watchable. I just love The Outer Limits. It is a place forever in my childhood heart.
