Here's my new baby, an FNP 9mm in Matte Stainless finish. Ive been to the range once with it so far and it has proved very accurate and reliable. Enjoy!

My concern, after seeing this video, is this. What if you are carrying condition 1, swipe the safety lever too hard, and accidentally decock the gun? That could really fuck up your shot. I typically can't hit a ****ing thing in DA mode, not to mention being pumped with epinephrine and fidgety as it is. I haven't actuated the lever myself, but it seems plausible in a stressful situation. Oh well, I prefer to rack the slide as I draw a holstered weapon, anyways.

Would you mind me asking what that cost you "out the door"?

I noticed that your fnp-9 has front serrations, is this a newer model or something?

I have a few "cracks" on the polymer frame, do you guys also noticed something on your fnp 9?

I've put 100 rounds through a borrowed FNP-9 and it sealed my decision - I'm gettting one as soon as I can. I haven't heard a negative review of the FNP-9, including yours. I like the external hammer and the overall quality of the unit, but the accuracy is what really sold me.

i have this gun in the USG model (MS). i don't like the mag release, but it's certainly a beauty. haven't gotten it to the range yet, bc i want to clean it. :)) i've read nothing but good things about it, except it's hard to find a holster (but supposedly the XD 45 fits perfectly), and the mags are expensive. that's ok. 3 are enough for now!! :))

@WashingtonXJ You will never have to worry about that because the FNP-9 has a firing pin block. This is like the glock in the way that only when the trigger is pulled can the firing pin move. Using the de-cocker is 100% safe at all times. This also makes the FNP-9 drop safe.

Old vid, I know. But I'm curious re. what led you to rule out the M&P, if you still recall. Also wondering how you like the FNP now that you've had it for a while.

if there is a chambered round, would decocking the gun with the lever fire off said round? the action looks like it would
BrodolfHitler 2 years ago
No. Decocking the hammer with the lever returns it to "half-cocked" position. There is a small gear assembly that restricts the hammer from coming all the way down onto the firing pin. That being said I wouldn't trust my life to it as that hammer comes down really hard and any malfunction means you've got ignition.

Looks like your right. Although I wouldn't trust $10 AR mags.
