Mobile Grid supports both HID scanner devices like the Scanfob 2002, and also Made For iOS devices scanners like the KDC200i 1D scanner and KDC300i 2D scanner.
Launch Mobile Grid on the iPad. Go to settings and select the scanner model. Once connected, you can simply scan items into the grid. To prompt for an item quantity, open Settings, find the "Show prompt after scan" control and tap "Number".
Mobile Grid also supports showing descriptions for a scanned item in "Mobile Order mode". If a database is not assigned for Mobile Grid it will prompt to go to the MyData Manager where you can get a list of databases available on the server, and download to the iPad, iPhone, or iPod.
Tap the "Server List" option to get a list of databases, tap the database and then tap Download.
Now simply scan the item barcode, and you will see the item description along with the item quantity prompt. With the Mobile Order feature of Mobile Grid, you can setup the iPad and easily make restocking orders even when there is no internet access available while making the order.
When the order is done, just use the Upload option, and when the iPad has network access the order will be send immediately.
