Jesse Harris was the songwriter behind singer Norah Jones Grammy winning hit song "Dont Know Why" and the score for actor-director Ethan Hawkes movie "The Hottest State." As a solo artist, Harris is exploring the sounds of Burt Bacharach, Brazilian rhythms -- and everything in between. He joins WNYC's Soundcheck to play songs from his new album, "Watching the Sky."

Jesse Harris is the writer, or co-writer with Rebecca Martin, of almost all the songs on their self-titled album "Once Blue" (that's what they called their band/project). Beautiful collection of songs with vocals by Martin and guitar by Harris, recommended CD for anybody who loves this clip.
