A local restaurant on S. Lamar and Barton Springs Road has a habit of calling the police on anyone they dislike. They ran me out twice just for telling a certain manager she was rude. Well, I was on my way to my day job and came across this officer trying to get a mentally ill guy to go on his way, rather than arrest him. He was very patient, and he had no problem with me taping. Good Job Officer. I regret that I didn't get his info.

  • Nice! It is tough dealing street folks sometimes. This cop did a good job and it was really cool he didn't give you trouble for taping him. It sucks that the guy had to pack up and go elsewhere but I've watched lesser cops make it a lot worse of a situation.

  • Dealing with 10-96 individuals can always be an experience. Good job to this officer

  • What was the guy doing wrong?

  • Todd is a great guy - have dealt with him many times and always a class act.

  • if only 10 percent of pigs were like that !

  • @dr0mni It's not up to the officer to decide whether or not to help the business. If it's a business' property and they ask the man to leave, he has to, or he is trespassing. So a good cop does exactly what he's supposed to, and sends the person away or arrests him.

  • We don't see enough of this. I made sure to share this.

  • Wow, nice job. Good cop, how rare is that:-)

  • thanks for posting good peace officers to as well as the BAD

  • Hmmm. Look at the professionalism by the BLACK cop. Imagaine a white cop and black bum... we would've seen another Mike Tyson attack.
