Tommy John undershirts were on the market 1 year before Equmen. Tommy John is a fitted undershirt, not a man girdle or compression shirt. its a completely different functionality in that it stays tucked in. Equmen is a posture tee shirt and from what i hear, very difficult to get on and take off, and 3 times the cost.

Hey lank.. The equmen shirts really hold your posture in a good neutral position due to the way the support is integrated into the shirts. Your shoulders get pulled back slightly instead of rolling forward and your low back gets lumbar support which keeps you from getting fatigued from day to day activities. I'm a massage therapist, and the shirts help me from straining my back when I'm working with a full day of clients. I get a lot of compliments on how clothing fits better when wearing them.
