I also liked this film a lot, when it first came out in 1980.
In a documentary about it, they were saying it wouldn't be accepted if wanting to be made in this modern world - under age sex.

Randal Kleiser has failed to bring them close together, which is why im very upset, i cant understand the meaning of this life, all efforts in making this movie have gone in vain, which is why i never want to see this movie ever again

i was born on year 1983?
as far i have noticed... oldies do have really very good quality of music as well as love movies, just like the beauty and the beast with linda hamilton and rod...? i 4got his ast name but anyways, its totally romantic..!!! love it... no obscene things that expresses love ... basically very pure and very good movie....

The movie was filmed in 1979, but was released in the summer of 1980.
I totally agree with u!! LOL, though I never lived in the 80's, I sure wish I had ;)
