"Marai is the night, night of the deep sleep, Haapaianoo is the place; Haapaianoo, the gate of the rising sun.
Here come this people, Eager for truth, they find themselves in the cave of shallowness, They are a people full of haughtiness, scornfulness and arrogance. Theay despise their mother -- The Earth. This mother who desperately flows her sorrow under the weeping sky :
« You are blind, blind to your own rape... And you're still raping me! »
Then from the womb of the earth, appear the nymphs -- messengers of the depths. They are echoing their pain and sorrow.
Afflicted by such behaviour, the Earth buries her motherly feelings and sets off her rage : the ocean rumbles, waves become swells, the dark veil breaks up and stars begin to fall..."
