I'm a 17 year old girl who's boyfriend left for Basic Training on November 24. Watching him leave was the hardest thing that I ever had to do. Everybody thinks that young love never last but I honestly believe that he is the love of my life. Thanks for this video! It answered all of my questions I had<3

hey i just wanted to say great video....i know this is a late respose...but i just wanted to let you know about the care packages recieved in basic: the answer is you can send a package if you plan on wasteing your money - pretty much everything on the outside world is considered CONTRABAN! like you said they are trying to prepare the soldiers...pictures and letters are the only things alloweed the drill sgts will inspect packages. ps MAIL MAKES THEIR DAY

me and my husband got married when were both 17 and he is getting ready to leave this monday for basic training on my 18th birthday he is going to be an army diver his ait is 26 weeks long and i have a chance of going with him but im not sure yet. i am extremely nervous about the whole army wife thing being so young, i am excited about getting to travel and things but im not sure how i will handle being away from him so much
