Even though she really did not want to do this and embarrass him as Vashti did, she knew she had no choice if she wanted to save her people. She was not afraid of the "being put to death" part because she knew he wouldn't do that or let that happen. So to make sure to not shame him and yet save her people, she frolicked into where he was charmingly and blissfully and jokingly hoping to win a smile and succeeded and THEN she said "I dare you to kill me". "If I perish I perish" was her drama =D
"If I perish ...perish" perfect! I love this scene, so dramatic and definately something I would do but yes with a frolic and smile ...and woulda said 'I dare you to kill me' =D I love the way he grabbed the sword ^_^
