depends on the way you deal, if you deal right to left, it'll be on your left, if you deal left to right, like he did, it'll be on his right.

that's a really cool trick but i can never remember the order.
But once I was really unfortunate, I dealt out the hands at the end, I chose the one with the jacks, and one of the other four hands had four kings in it. It was hilariously embarrassing.

Well, I suppose there is always the slight chance of something like that happening. Depending on how the trick progresses you could attempt to play that off as intentional if you are quick enough on your feet. Also a good supposed example of the danger of cheating as there is still the chance that someone could beat you legit.

In order to guarantee the "good ending", you could force the jack hand in sort of the same manner as you force piles in your "21 Cards" trick.

True, but you want to be careful about over-using that force method or people will catch on eventually. Plus it would not be quite AS deceptive just with the structure of the trick.
