The Real Iran the US Doesnt Want You to See

Iran has been antagonized by the western Media particularly the US media, most Americans do not even realize that Iran is not an arab country and is more secular than Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Nonetheless, arabs too have great rich culture and are loving people. Iran is a Persian nation with a distinctive culture and language. Annual Purchasing Power Parity makes Iran the 17th largest economy which is continuing to diversify. Iran the first country to develop an engine that runs on natural gas is now the 16th largest automaker in the world. Contrary to statements made by govt officials, Iran is not an anti semitic country and currently is home to over 20 thousand Jews. The Islamic Republic may not be the true representation of the Iranian people but under the new theocracy, Jews actually received better treatment than before and Iranian Jews are free to visit Israel to see family members. I wish one day the US will ally with Iran like they did during the 2001 Herat Uprising and join forces in fighting terrorist groups like the Taliban, an old threat to Iran and the region.

It feels like Iraq all over again. It's all propaganda. If some U.S. citizens think that these sanctions are the right thing to do along with the other aggressive actions the U.S. is taking, they are wrong. If they think that the U.S. can afford to attack Iran, they are wrong. The U.S. has one of the largest per capita debts in the world. It is broke. I wish the U.S. would mind it's own business, and this is a Midwest born, former U.S. soldier talking.

First of all, you're talking about preventative war, which is almost always wrong. How many millions of innocents would die in that war? I agree with you completely. Politicians should fight their own wars again just like George Washington and Vladimir Lenin did. They wanted change so they fought alongside their troops for it.

The fact of the mater is that that will never happen. With politics and any other Social Study, you have to look at it how it is and not how you want it to be. It's nice to imagine and dream but the realm of reality overpowers the dream land, sadly.

@Brovin720 I think the best solution is for our politicians to start fighting their own wars. My wife is Iranian and none of her friends nor her family likes their government. Similar to 91% of the American people disapproving of the American Congress ;).

If our politicians had to fight their own wars then this would be a peaceful earth. The Iranian people are suffering drastically because of the sanctions; the politicians are still living high.
