Lets just say this was my first flight with the 'Seagull' with the ailerons working the right way. I brought her in to land to check how much fuel it used, overstepped the runway too fast avoiding a very grey radio area, and almost took out the camera girl. Sorry baby!

I would say over 90% of us "over here" fly mode 2. there are some old school flyers, and Left handers maybe perfer mode 1.
but it wasn't for me... stick with what you learn...

Thats ok baby...just don't do it again or i'll have to do stuff....um, like take really bad videos of your flying, of course!!

I tried that method for a VERY short time, the person teaching me was left handed, and that is the mode he flew on, I thought it was very difficult. having RC cars, and RC boats growing up.. with the throttle on the left, and the turning on the right stick... it was very hard to do for me

I noticed you're in the States. I thought they all flew mode 2 there. Majority fly mode 1 here, hence why I've taught myself on mode 1. Actually, I bought this plane 2nd hand, ready to go, off eBay and it came setup mode2 and I changed it. The previous owner was Aussie so I guess its whatever you feel comfortable with.
