Síomha Brock - Debut EP

Ennis singer/songwriter Siomha Brock will launch her self-titled debut EP in Cruise's Bar, Ennis, on Thursday 22nd December at 7.30pm.

Leo Moran of The Saw Doctors will launch the CD on the night.

Siomha, along with her full band, will be performing all of her self-penned songs on the night, which include tracks from her debut EP. It was recorded at the Queen's Hotel in August 2011 and showcases Siomha's talents as a singer, composer and guitarist.

Widely recognized for her outstanding talents and versatility, Siomha is a regular performer on the Irish entertainment circuit. She has a huge love for jazz and soul music and these influences resonate in her own songs on her EP. Accompanying Siomha on the new EP are Ennis natives Eoghan Judge (guitar) and Danny Byrt (drums) and Galway man Karl Clews (bass). The album was recorded by Matt Purcell of Purcell Audio.

Siomha was a finalist in the recent Arthur's Day 'Play On The Day' contest run by Guinness and was described by Hot Press Magazine as a "star in the making". She has supported leading performers such as Brian Kennedy, Freddie White and The Saw Doctors. She is also an accomplished jazz singer and performed at this years high-profile Guinness Cork Jazz Festival. She has also been a regular guest singer with the Galway-based Black Magic Big Band.

Siomha will be touring her EP early next year and will play venues in Galway, Cork and Dublin.
