Krautrock and Avant Garde legends Neu! with their song "Negativland"
from their album Neu!(1972)
Original music, video made by me in Moviemaker.
Sorry the vid has poor clips and not exciting but hey the music cool though!!
Neu are former KRAFTWERK members of Klaus Dinger (Drums) and Michael Rother (Guitar), Bass is done by Klaus Dinger on a Japanese Banjo with trickery??? how cool is that!!

According to Wikipedia, this group formed in 1979. How could they have then released an album in 1972? Is the Wikipedia article wrong?

no the 1979 year is wrong, the band was formed in 1971 after rother and dinger left Kraftwerk that year and went their own way.

Music from last week sounds more dated than this.

not only Station to Station but his following three albums (known as the Berlin period) ....he was very open about his admiration of Kraftwerk at that time and Krautrock in general.....but Bowie was the king of picking pieces from everything he listened to and watched....

You think? David Bowie was totally influenced by Krautrock on Station to Station.

Rother: That's not a guitar we are playing there. Klaus Dinger plays a Nagoya harp, an instrument from China or India. You pluck it with your right hand and play the melody with your left one. It's a bit like playing the piano.

When I hear this guitar in the background, I think that inspired David Bowie when he composed "Station to Station".

Especially Peter Hook..actually their whole catalog's sound can be somewhat traced to this tune....however what set JD apart was Ian Curtis....no one wrote lyrics like he did....may be the most insightful lyricist ever
