  • Hey I have a dot studio and want to install a bigsby

but to get the exact same sound as you i was wondering what amps your playing it on???

its driving me and a buddy nuts!

    thanks for the video!

    cheers

  • @sickabillyskater we used a Fender Twin Reissue. Great combo!

  • Would it be worth fitting a roller bridge to the guitar??? About to fit a B5 trem unit to my SG and am finding conflicting views on the use or need for a roller bridge.

  • @rayjaysonic I would try it with the stock TOM first. Properly set up, you won't have any problems at all. A great pairing!

  • its handy when they demonstrate your exact model guitar, gives u confidence

  • Dots are semi-hollow which means that they have a solid block of wood running down the center. That's what the stop tailpiece attaches to so we know it's structurally sound. Bigsbys for hollow bodies are a little different.

  • @jimmypagen10 on this one we used the B700BK

  • @bigsbyguitars what bigsby model did u use?

  • @bigsbyguitars Yep, sticking with the stock TOM. It works fine, I just added a bit of lube to the nut and everything works and sounds fantastic.

  • @blackmagic491 most likely. It depends on which synth pickup you choose. The pickups will generally sit in front of the bridge, which makes the Bigsby a non-issue. Good luck!

  • can you add a guitar synthesizer pickup to a guitar if it has a bigsby installed on it?

  • i say...take it to an expert!! this is kinda dangerous for someone who hasn't done it before!
