great idea, yellow stone park could use some relief right now. If we don't make a major shift in how we use energy on this planet we will destroy this planet. Fracking is killing us fast as off shore and on shore drilling has been doing for decades. our planet can't handle that pressure and it's about to make some major shifts if we don't release that fast

It sucks. I agree with basically everything he said, except the beginning. The amount of water that was displaced by those dams was very detrimental to the agriculture of mexico and beyond. Sorry, but dams are obsolete. Wave, tidal, wind, and ESPECIALLY geothermal energy are the true saving graces of our modern world. Most efficient, most effective. It's science! Yippie!

Unfortuanitly for Australia we don't have any active volcanoes but we could allwells drill down =). we mainly us Coal cause Australia is loaded full of coal but we are getting their slowly we have got Wind turbines a Hydro plant and I think that's it everything else is coal atm

Geothermal energy isn't free any more than solar, wind or hydroelectric is free. There is no fuel cost, but there is a large capital cost.

It's a great Idea! :) I'm not sure all your theories are solid. Geothermal energy is defiantly the way to go! There are plants in California some in Italy and other regions of the world. It would be awesome to see this technology used more!

it would work anywhere.. all you have to do is drill down far enough and pour water down the pipe.. and really its not that far..and it has been known for awhile but never published.. the secretary of the interior under nixon wrote about it..

Thanks for posting... Agree all you have to do is drill down far enough and pour water down the pipe. Yes you would not have to tap into the magma of which is over 1000 degrees but just to where the rock is 600 or 700 degrees...
