Using simple materials and techniques drawn from the ones used 600 years ago, children can make their own kimonos with origami techniques, then decorate their creations with stencil and stamps, as well as freestyle drawing. Simultaneously, they are embracing art from other communities, absorbing knowledge such as philosophy and aesthetics whilst learning about the cultural significance of certain motifs and color.
This workshop also encourages the child to think, analyze, and be more inquisitive and collaborative. Enables children to learn new skills and subtlety imparts cross--curriculum knowledge to them via fun and productive interactive creativity. Educators and researchers also have the opportunity to analyze the process and feedback to discern more information concerning the intellectual development of the child
