I remember seeing Big Country in '93 in NYC and they opened with this song. Great great show! It would've been even cooler had they worn the kilts!

Wow. Thats great! I'm nearly 15 now... Haha. But They're still my favorite band. Big country will forever be amazing.

I'm 16 and Big Country is my favorite band! I've always said I should have been born in the 80s too lol. I'm glad to see I'm not the only kid out there who loves Big Country :)
and yes it is very sad that he has passed :(

Most underrated group ever! This clip doesn't do justice to their sound - get the CD The Buffalo Skinners to listen to the song properly or the DVD (doesn't have the very prophetic war clip as here though.) The late Stuart was a 'master' of prophetic words - listen to his words CLOSELY! Chester's Farm is true to every word (also on The Buff. Skinners CD). Why don't they re-release Blue on a Green Planet - so appropriate today
I take back that comment about the kilts. It was done tongue-in-cheek. I have genuine respect for Scottish culture. Big Country is my favorite band and their Scottish influences are a big part of that.
