Here's some footage from the Final Fling tour. If you can get past the dudes in skirts, it was a great concert. I have some images that I feel are relevant to what the song means to me.

  • I take back that comment about the kilts. It was done tongue-in-cheek. I have genuine respect for Scottish culture. Big Country is my favorite band and their Scottish influences are a big part of that.

  • I remember seeing Big Country in '93 in NYC and they opened with this song. Great great show! It would've been even cooler had they worn the kilts!

  • Wow. Thats great! I'm nearly 15 now... Haha. But They're still my favorite band. Big country will forever be amazing.

  • I'm 16 and Big Country is my favorite band! I've always said I should have been born in the 80s too lol. I'm glad to see I'm not the only kid out there who loves Big Country :)

and yes it is very sad that he has passed :(

  • love this song, love the album, god i miss stuart adamson.

  • Well done!

  • awesome kilt! i have one of the signed prints from this concert. i'm 13 and big country is my favorite band. i should have been born in the 80's. stuart april 11th 1955 to december 16th 2001, why did he have to die?

  • I do have The Buffalo Skinners album but unfortunatly this particular tune has a hole in it where ive played it over n over again so much x l o l x

  • misterpunk i could not agree more i cannot beleive that not anyone in a civilised society does not know that every fine scotsman wears a kilt and what a fine scotsman stu was and bruce of course. and tony and mark wear wearing theres out of respect for the concert going glaswegians what a band live from the scouse adopted scot billy 2610

  • Most underrated group ever! This clip doesn't do justice to their sound - get the CD The Buffalo Skinners to listen to the song properly or the DVD (doesn't have the very prophetic war clip as here though.) The late Stuart was a 'master' of prophetic words - listen to his words CLOSELY! Chester's Farm is true to every word (also on The Buff. Skinners CD). Why don't they re-release Blue on a Green Planet - so appropriate today
