@thrufaithalone...you are so correct! When this type of teaching doesn't work, one is blamed for lack of faith, etc. Never do they say it's just false doctrine.
The "Old" Testament has not been invalidated. Yahshua said He did not come to destroy the law but to perfect it. The Commands to love YHWH and love others are from the "Old" Testament. He was quoting them when asked what were the MOST, not ONLY, important Commands from the Torah. Yahshua said not one jot or title of the Law would change till all be fulfilled and the Heaven and earth pass away. Has He come back for His people yet ? Are the earth and Heavens still here? YHWH changes not.
Why is satan recieving so much credit? satan was a created being just like us but he made a choice to go against the Lord. He chose. He allowed his pride to overcome him. HE CHOSE. The old testament talks of the law, and how it was in need of a savior Hence Christ.
Well the bible says that he didnt not come to change the law to this is true what shes talking about so there is a curse in my family that I need to ask God to forgive family!
Caution how you take up for Satan; remember he is the devil and GOD created him a devil for HIS purpose; I agree with you that GOD will bring evil upon up any persons for what ever reason, but the devil is the tool used; and GOD will get the GLORY and not the blame remember this; GOD created good and evil for the day of JUDGMENT.
One needs to use caution when placing blame on Satan for things that go wrong in our lives; sometimes the Lord is testing our faithfulness - and He has every right to do so. God was behind Job's loss. God was behind Paul's thorn in the flesh.
There is a vast difference between forgiving someone (as Stephen and Jesus did) and "confessing the sins of your forefathers" - This is nowhere to be found in the NT. "If 'we' confess 'our' sins He is faithful and just to forgive us." (1John1:9)
The blood of Jesus also isn't some magical talisman or incantation used to take authority over the sin in our lives.
