We often hear about giving back, during the holiday season. This year, Purpose, a special presentation from News Channel 8/MyTV9, will show you how people are giving back to their communities. The show highlights people from across Connecticut who live their lives with a sense of purpose.

Thousands of Connecticut people make a difference every day, said Mary Lee Weber, News Channel 8/MyTV9 Director of Marketing and Community Development. We hope this show will encourage people to look at how their actions today, can help create a better tomorrow for everyone.

Purpose, is the fourth annual community service show produced by News Channel 8/MyTV9, and hosted by Keith Kountz. Purpose, is sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Barnum Financial Group (an office of MetLife). Each organization shares with News Channel 8/MyTV9 a commitment to support meaningful events that have a significant impact on improving the lives of Connecticut residents and their families.
