The full-length video is finished! This is the interview while the band was shooting... to see the actual vid go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwchgdarBbs.

August Christopher gets ready to shoot video to the song "Down" at the famous Starwood Amphitheatre (or what's left of it). The amphitheatre was sold and demolished in 2007 but plans are being made to completely rebuild it as another music venue.

Every band you have EVER imagined has played this stage! AC opened for Nickelback here many years ago at Buzzfest - one of the best shows we ever had! They demolished Starwood (Amsouth) in 2008, but the remnants of a stage still remain.

Kiss, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Matchbox 20, ZZTop, Rush, Journey, Chicago, Avril Levigne, Sheryl Crow, Lollapalooza, Pearl Jam, Sammy Hagar, are just some of the bands I personally saw here. I met Jordan's mom (followed her into the girl's bathroom) at Starwood during a Brother Cain show.

I watched Fleetwood Mac, No Doubt, Tonic, Filter, Poison, Spin Doctors, No Doubt (in the rain and mud), and Primus on that stage.

My date left me for Layne Staley (Alice in Chains) right at the sound booth here - she got on the bus and went on tour with them, never saw her again!

I got chased by the cops through the woods and creek in a golf cart for hopping the fence at a Robert Plant concert.

I had to ride home in my underwear after Rage Against the Machine concert because I was sliding down the mud hill and ripped all my clothes!

I got kicked out twice during the Journey concert for fighting with security and had to wait in the parking lot for my friends, funneling beers and puking.

Before they completely tear it down, we busted in, avoided the cops and shot our video. Could AC be the LAST BAND ever to grace this stage?? (or what's left of it...)

Awesome day! Beautiful weather, the clouds were amazing!

  • Awesome video guys! You did a nice job editing, Criss. I feel really good about the band this year; 2011 is going to be a blast! Keep up the good work!!!

  • Man ive been gone from Clarksville for close to 10 years now and didnt know they had tore it down....sad to hear! I had so many good times and saw so many shows there....Ozzy, Sepultura, Pantera ( much <3 DD), Metallica, Primus, and a ton more, including my first concert ever (Bad Company). Thats awesome that you guys got to get in and film it before it is gone forever!

  • The list of acts goes on for sure, we went to a bunch of concerts there over the years.

My APSU Fraternity Kappa Sigma also did a lot of fundraisers there running concession stands, beer & nachos! I think we made the most at the Buffet shows :)

I did not know that they had torn it down like that though, should make a cool video especially if you can get some good footage from back when it was rockin'.

  • Paul Simon, Rush, Primus, Rage Against the Machine, and Spinal Tap. I saw them play there. And Alice In Chains too. Remember that one, Criss? Har har.

  • That's too cool!
