Getting Stung by a honey bee 2009Sep13 Brickworks

I prefer to work the hives with my bare hands, but I was afraid of getting stung. Whenever a bee landed on my hand I would shake it off. There was only one solution, get stung and get over it. So I did. What a difference it has made! I can now watch bees and wasps crawl over my hands as they "lick" small amounts of honey from my hands. Come to think of it, perhaps that should be my next viideo.

@dxjdog Hi Dxidog. It did not hurt as much as you might think. The sting of yellow jacket hornet is worse. At least in my opinion.

I got stung by a bee when I was 11!!! I was walking along the railroad tracks with my friends and then BAM a Bumblee bee stung me above where my ankle is and on my thigh dang it hurt!

@kwizzybear123 actually it was it's insides. When a bee stings someone the stinger gets in our skin and it is forced to disembowel itself.
