Mika just can't (or won't) see

Mika Brzezinski just refuses to admit that someone with a gun can make a 'positive' difference. This kid had the potential to kill many people. One person was able to stop him because she was armed. Only authorized to have a weapon due to a CCW permit (not because of any previous affiliation with any law enforcement agency). She was not an actual 'security guard' by definition. She was a volunteer, a civilian member of the church, she owned her own weapon and legally carried it with the permit available to most of us. With the exception of being a former cop, she's not much different than anyone else. You wouldn't need the training in a CCW class to know it would be permissible (even desirable) to shoot Matt Murray. Looks like The New Life Church wasn't just another 'gun-free zone' after all. I guess Matt didn't get the memo!

@y2zgt The 'well regulated' part is a 'prefatory' clause and does not negate or override the 'operative' clause, the RIGHT of the people to keep and bear arms.

Even though we no longer have a 'citizens militia' (since we've given these duties to the police and military) the right of the people to keep and bear arms still exists. If you don't believe me, why not argue your point with the Supreme Court?

You need to relax. It was a hypothetical. If I began a an anology with "one day a dog asked a cat what time it was....," you'd come back with "dogs don't talk, especially to cats," then is the point of the analogy getting through to you? No, because you're far, far too preoccupied with the minutia of the analogy, which is not supposed to be the actual subject. Now do you see why you're the one who needs to relax? Damn.
