1) About Social Security fraud, my question is what's the punishment when SS or fbi catch these fakes? Do they get 5 years in prison or do they make them pay the goverment back? Is the punishment severe?
I believe someone is committing fraud against Social Security. How do I report that?
Social Security considers reports of fraud very seriously. The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) investigates instances of Social Security-related fraud, waste, and program abuse. To report fraud cases, you can reach us by Internet, mail, fax, and phone.
I think someone may be using my Social Security number. What do I do?
The Federal Trade Commission is the agency that handles identity theft; if you believe your identity has been stolen, you should contact that agency to find out what action you need to take. For general information about protecting your Social Security number, you can refer to our electronic publication, Identify Theft and Your Social Security Number.
You also may want to contact the Internal Revenue Service. An identity thief might also use your Social Security number to file a tax return in order to receive a refund. If the thief files the tax return before you do, the IRS will believe you already filed and received your refund if eligible.
Also, you should file an online complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at www.ic3.gov.
The IC3 gives victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of suspected criminal or civil violations. IC3 sends every complaint to one or more law enforcement or regulatory agencies that have jurisdiction over the matter.
IC3's mission is to receive, develop and refer criminal complaints regarding the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, local and international level, IC3 provides a central referral mechanism for complaints involving Internet related crimes.
The IC3 reflects a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National White Collar Crime Center and the Bureau of Justice Assistance

§404.1535 How we will determine whether your drug addiction or alcoholism is a contributing factor material to the determination of disability.
(a) General. If we find that you are disabled and have medical evidence of your drug addiction or alcoholism, we must determine whether your drug addiction or alcoholism is a contributing factor material to the determination of disability.
(b) Process we will follow when we have medical evidence of your drug addiction or alcoholism. (1) The key factor we will examine in determining whether drug addiction or alcoholism is a contributing factor material to the determination of disability is whether we would still find you disabled if you stopped using drugs or alcohol.
(2) In making this determination, we will evaluate which of your current physical and mental limitations, upon which we based our current disability determination, would remain if you stopped using drugs or alcohol and then determine whether any or all of your remaining limitations would be disabling.
(i) If we determine that your remaining limitations would not be disabling, we will find that your drug addiction or alcoholism is a contributing factor material to the determination of disability.
(ii) If we determine that your remaining limitations are disabling, you are disabled independent of your drug addiction or alcoholism and we will find that your drug addiction or alcoholism is not a contributing factor material to the determination of disability.

Thanks for posting this movie about how bad SS fraud really is. I see it all the time out in public and at public things going on. I meet people all the time that say how disabled they are and can drive a car and their social network page says all these things they can do and are involved it. I have severe arthritis and cannot walk at all and have severe depression and anxiety and cannot get anyone to hire me at all for the last 2 years. Fraud is really bad here in Oregon and they are doing zip.

Every one that really is not disabled and if you go to their facebook page and see all the stuff that they can do and they can drive a car and do all of these things but yet they are still able to get SS benefits after 2-3 months but yet you cannot even walk or do much of anything because of severe severe arthritis and depression, those people need to be turned in to the SS authorities. I know someone who is getting benefits and I used to work with her 4 years ago and she was not disabled then.
