Going eastward, Fribourg (Freiburg in German) is the last major French-speaking city in Switzerland. The station announcement is in French and in German.

On another track, it is possible to see a train which serves as the S-Bahn for Bern (Capital of Switzerland). The first stop is Düdingen (Guin in French) which is a German-speaking town within the canton of Fribourg where the majority speak French.

On the Intercity train, the next stop is Bern, and then Zürich HB and further on to St. Gallen.
