Many act as though life were something added to matter, rather than matter behaving in a certain way.
But much like baking soda added to vinegar, all life is really just chemical reactions. Lots of them, all working in concert.

My LIFE experience differs from yours so I think; based on that; consciousness is more than chemical reactions and electronic impulses. A coma patient by your definition is alive but is that really life? being Marxist/Lennonist (groucho/john) I'd say "You bet your life! How do you know that everything in existence isn't the objective/empirical evidence for God in and of itself, when you're devoid of any objective/empirical evidence to render yours as anything other than wishful fantasy faith in perpetually indemonstrable alleged natural processes to have been responsible?
