We stayed in the same room this past weekend. Other then different bedspreads nothing has changed other then maybe the amount of mold on the ceiling, shower floor and shower curtain. Super 8 canceled our reservation with not enough notice to find anything else or we wouldn't have stayed there. I remember when not all to many years ago it was a nice clean pleasant little hotel. But it has changed owners. New owners diffently have a different idea of what "clean" is then the previous owners.

I remember this ice storm well, my family was without power and had to stay in Super 8 for three days. Just one quick question though, if you didn't like the accommodations at the Moonlight Hotel (yes, it is the scourge of the universe)why didn't you head on to Osceola or stay in Corning? Also, just for those who have never been to Creston, we have at least two other nice hotels, one less than a year old, that more than service a town of 9,000 people.

We actually came through Osceola on our way to Creston. The casino there had been turned into a shelter and there were cots everywhere. We already had tried getting rooms in Creston at the other hotels. The magnificent Moonlight Motel was the only place left with vacancies. We got the last two available rooms in town when we arrived about 9 pm that evening.

Ok, I'm from Creston and I'm wondering why the hell you would choose to stay at the Moonlight instead of the new Super 8?

Unfortunately, there were only 2 rooms available in all of creston! It was during a major ice storm and half the town was without power!
