  • Keep your faith, be strong! My boyfriend is a very good example of a GBS survivor. He can walk by himself now despite the nerve damage, he cant run but that does not stop him from living normal life. My prayers are for you too!

  • Dont dispare I've had GBS four times during my live, the second time I was in an oxygen tent. Whilst at the time you feel there is little hope and think you are the only one in the world going through this ordeal you will get though it. You must stay strong, have faith, keep the hope that another day brings better outcomes. I am 52 now and continue to have a rewarding working life.even though GBS gave me epilepisy which was removed through Brain surgery recently. I never gave up. regards BSH

  • I am a GBS survivor. I just wnat to give you my support. Don't give up, be strong. I'll be praying for you.

  • Stay strong Mike! We're pulling for you.

Do they know a cause of Gullian-Barre? Is it a virus? Or always idiopathic?

  • I suffered from GBS and spent 3 months in Intensive Care and a year in hospital, I am now wheelchair dependant and still have paralysis of the left hand, and tingling sensation throughout body hands and feet, my consultant said I am one of the unlucky ones who after so long will not now get any better...so this is not just a temporary illness

  • im 23 and was diagnosed with guillen barre in my 5 year in the navy. i spent 5 months in rehab chest tubes, feeding tubes, and atrache i also suffered from bells pausley its been 1 year since my diagnoses, and im walking on my own now. after surgery in my feet to cut the tendons down to neutral position. god bless anyone who is diagosed.

  • Keep your spirits high, Mike. I'm studying biomedical science and your video has provided me with first hand information from a sufferer of this condition. As you would know, there is a high rate of successful recovery from it. If possible would be able to tell me if you took a high dose IV immunoglobulin course to treat your condition?

  • I am a recovered victim of this condition. I now play soccer every week and lead a full and active life. Take care and I wish you a full recovery

  • I wish you a speedy recovery,Mike! With proper therapy you will be fully recovered and be well once more.
