Unseen USSEnterprise Phase 2

this is a couple of animation tests I've been doing with the model just to see how it looks in various angles. Its fair to say I think it looks good all round. I thought I'd upload this for you to see as I'm being really ambitious with the next video and its going to take a long time to finish. Sorry about the music I just grabbed it from one I'd already composed, It doesn't really suit this.

thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback If I get less busy I'll reopen the model and maybe do a high res render for you to see. Something thats not so flat lit ande maybe make something that looks a little more dramatic ( don't worry it won't be pulling out of dock or in a phaser fight it'll be something else.)

If they already had the model for the show, why not have just used it for the first movie instead?

@cadror26 actually the model they had was still being built they had an Enterprise model and a dry dock Niether were used once Robert Wise stepped on board prodution.

I have to disagree. Not with the quality of your work, but with the idea that this is a better design than the one used in the film. This design wouldn't have held up on the big screen. It looks like a TV show ship design and I don't understand why the nacelles were redesigned, but not the actual saucer and hull. I still think the film design is as good as you can get with the basic elements.

this is not the Phase 2 Enterprise, however it is a good looking ship.

This ship looks more like the real Enterprise than the motion picture model, much better looking and it just looks right for the show. Too bad we didn't get to see this series Phase 2 produced because it would have been a great series I think.. Back to the ship, it looks great and with just the right tweaks to stay updated and no look totally changed .

@bjbearorl I agree. I wish they could have taken the money spent on redesigning the ship from scratch and spent it on punching up ST:TMP's script, but I guess that's not how it works.
