Wow, now I realize thar Garanca sang instead of Ernman during the dvd-recording. I knew Garanca sang it last-minute in Salzburg (which is very obvious in the duettino sesto-annio where you can see her watch Harnoncourt). Although the dvd is amazing (I saw it soooooo many times, 'cause I love marvelous Kasarova!), I wonder how Malena did Annio... I guess we'll never know :'-(

Hon är rätt fantastisk... en mycket värdig Mozart soprano.... älskar hennes röst. Dessutom hon är rätt rolig som person... mycket självdistans. En vanlig tjej med extremt mycket talang. Men vanlig är hon inte... hon är en priviligierad ängel i Mozarts himmel. Verkligen! Jag bara kan önskar henne det bästa i ESC. Tyvärr vi kan inte rösta för henne... men jag är säkert hon kvalificerar Sverige för nästa år. Break a leg Malena... vi älskar dig !!!

Underbart. Lyssnar varje dag. Varför ingen CD?

Really, you think she will develop in that direction? Interesting. You might even have a point in this. I remember hearing a recording of Ewa's 1984 Rinaldo at the Met and the voice was almost unrecognizable, much, much lighter than today. Malena already has an affinity for more "masculine" sounds, so, who knows... :)
