  • If you are looking for a way of tying the sageo while wearing or using the katana for Iaido, try viewing the Katana Carry Tie video. If you can't see that well enough I did a remake video where I used a yellow belt above my hakama, so you could see how I tied it.

  • ummm crappy video quality?

  • Fell asleep half way through, anyone know what happens at the end?

  • very nice

  • The common "butterfly knot" as you're referring to in your video is known as "chocho musubi" (butterfly knot). And they're are s-e-v-e-r-a-l musubi that one can learn all depending on the ryuha and such. Hope that helps.

  • your videos are awesome but would you happen to know of a reliable knot that can be tied similar to the king knot so that the katana can be worn like a ninjato?

  • It' not that difficult to see. I can't understand what the others write. I will use this for my Iaito, thank you a lot

  • can't see wat your doing hands are in the way and the quailty is poor
