I've heard a bit of a mix of reviews from Pathfinder. I'm not bothering giving it a try, only for the reason the books are pricey & I've invested a lot of money in the over 100 D&D 3/3.5 D&D books I have. & I like 3.5 just fine, so I see no reason to chance. But it basically seems like they just uped the power level of the game. Coming from AD&D, I think the 3.5 characters are powerful enough.
Your gunpower weapons rule is almost identical to one I've been using for a homebrew setting. The only difference was I ruled that only mundane and natural armour was reduced armouring spells still worked normally.

Why don't you use the trusty rust monster on high AC characters?
