The John Reed Club performing 'Stamp Duty' live on Recovery.
Recovery was a music and youth interests television series broadcast by ABC TV in Australia. It was aired each Saturday morning from 9:00am to 12:00pm following Rage. It aired from 1996 to its last show on 29 April 2000.
Funny that the previous poster mentioned seeing them at the Unibar because that's where I saw them as well. Even grabbed a setlist after they had played because I was certain they'd be huge. A real shame we didn't get to hear more from them.

Absolutely loved this band and this song, and the 5 songs that were on the EP this song came from, Deathmetal. Found them after seeing them support Ammonia at Adelaide Unibar in 1998. Awesome gig, the memory of most shows dulls after a decade or so, but not this one :) They seemed to pop into and out of existance really quickly, although i heard one of the members was involved with the band Youthgroup.
Thanks for the post, i've looked for them before but found nothing.

I wonder if anyone remembers this band at all? They had a deal with EMI, but were quite rudely ignored by the media. Quite a good power pop number.
