@YouKnowLiverpool Violin is my very favorite instrument...so hard to play as anyone who has tried to play it will know. Violin actually thrills me...Also the pedal steel. They are my two favorite Western instruments. But I believe violin is the most difficult instrument in the world. Someone may elect to inform me otherwise,and I'd be open to their words.

@markusrobergshagen Maybe, juste David Oistrakh, which has probably the most amazing sound and sensibility on his violon, in all twentieth century.

This doesn't hide all the others genius violonists, such as Perlmann, Isaac Stern, and of course Heifetz.

All are... amazing. There is no words for what we feel hearing the sound of their music.
