It was weird. Usually people talk through the opening bands but quiet down towards the end. But this night the crowd noise really ratcheted up during Mono's set.

This has been the case at so many shows I've been to in the past couple years. I think it stems from this music scene having developed into its own little social sphere and attracts a lot of kids who just want to wear the clothes and be in the cool crowd. Kind of a shame.

if this were a Kiss show, Gene Simmons would shoot lasers out of the head of his bass and desimate the talkers and follow this with dripping blood on them from his mouth. id pay good money to see that, who wouldnt?

This type of crowd behavior has become the norm at most shows now. I have pretty much stopped going to shows because of the amount of talking that goes on during a performance. Especially in Los Angeles, most people seem to use a show as a place to socialize. Why these "people" just don't go to a bar is beyond me. I recently saw Band of Horses and at least 40% of the crowd was talking throughout the entire show! Not to mention, the rest watch the show through their phones as they make a video

weird thing.. when im watching videos from live performance in europe, theres no such messy noise, but this is my second live capture from US and in both videos there is the same rude crowd;)
