Dead Heads & TwelveTribes @ MSG "The Dead" Concert 4-25-09

Dead Heads & Twelve Tribes gather outside MSG (Madsion Square Garden) NYC for their first concert at the venue in 5 years. My first time at a Dead gathering & not sure who the "dead heads" actually were. Seems that the group dancing/playing music are members of the www.twelvetribes.com, a controversial religious group/cult? Search "twelve tribes" for info on both sides of debate.

I know this video can be a little long, but it is unusual to see a group dancing and looking like "hippies" behind MSG in NYC. I enjoyed watching them and am a fan of any type of dancing.

i know some of the people in the 12 tribes in Oneonta, NY. They are a group that preys on the outcasts of society. Boycott their products and stores.

yeah.. the twelve tribes are bad news. they prey on lost heads at shows.. it's worth a trip inside their busses to see the intricate woodwork, but those people in there are spaced out. definitely a cult, read about it on wikipedia. And notice that their dancing is very apollonian, not the typical deadhead dionysian dance.. stay the hell away from them..

Of the forty or so members I know in Asher; there are many who display a kindness of nature in tandem with an aesthetic quietude, the likes of which is rare.
