@adamshawboro yeah it wasnt out 2 years ago when the comment was made!! plus he's following a script and acting in the trip its not a fly on the wall documentary or him just being himself. plus he isnt a very pleasant character in the trip he's playing a pastiche of himself. he actually took umbrage in an interview when someone said he was just being himself in the trip and not acting. they obviously didnt get it ether.
Mara seems to laugh at absolutely nothing. 'Hamlet 2. Hilarious' with annoying intonation. Ugggh.
Coogan was crap at stand up, thats why he transferred to doing comic characters. Unlike Gervais he is not an engaging character when he is being himself. He is much better when in character. This is quite common among comic actors. Peter Sellars hated being himself as he was very boring, he always went into characters. If you listen to him on talk shows as himself he is deadly dull as is Coogan.

hamlet 2 is actually very good, if you like alan partridge, his character in hamlet 2 has allot of things in common with alan.

I absolutely love steve coogan, but i cant bring myself to watch this hamlet 2 film.
I think it is a british thing, we just can't bring our self to watch crap movies
