Tommy Kramer, that guy had guts! Too bad the eagles knocked us out of the playoffs a week or 2 later. I remember the Vikes went 9-6-1 in 80. It would be great if Farve can finally get us a title!
Yeah, I remember we lost to the Eagles 31-16 or something like that. But they had beaten us earlier in the season 42-7, so we had improved quite a bit.
Googled this last month and couldnt find any posting. glad I found it! Long time Viking fan, and still have the newspaper from the day after! Even sweeter was the fact that I lived in Michigan at the time. The Lions needed a Viking loss and a Lion win to get to the playoffs. They were beating up on the Buc's when Rashad made the catch. As I recall, the Lion coach tried to get the scoreboard official to delay showing the Viking-Brown's score.
I remember freezing my hind end off at the game. Towards the end I happened to be standing in the corner of the endzone where Rashad made the catch. It made the trip worth it.
I was watching this game. From what I remember they only ran two or three plays on this drive with a few seconds left and won the game. I remember it because it always struck me funny how Rashad acted nonchalant about that catch, as if he did it everyday.
I remember this also when I was a kid! Thanks for posting it.. Not many conversations go by about the Vikings in which someone in my family doesn't bring up the "catch".
