maybe they should made a separate luxury brand like lexus is to toyota and infinti is to nissan. than it wouldnt be a hyundai. and still keep it reasonably priced. hmmmm

@cardude1992 That is one of the points of the Equus. The goal was to keep the Hyundai name on it in order to avoid the cost of creating a separate brand and distribution channel.

the brand define the luxury... if u hv the money.. u go for the mercedes and not the hyundai... even if hyundai is better.. mercedes will still be the Gucci and hyundai b the nikes

@joewillgo VERY good eye . . . We noticed that in post production and wanted to see how many people picked it up. Funny, that pre-production model we shot in the summer of 2009 did not say Hyundai ANYWHERE except for the glass . . . not even a logo . . .

Question-Why would someone who plan to buy a car that cost as much as a home let that car be a Hyundai? I mean, who wants to spend that much money on a car and still need to prove to ppl (even one they don't know) that the car is worth it. Hi , I spent 60k on a hyundai now PLEZ get in or drive it; you'll see that its worth it. If your spending that kinda cash put it with something ppl will respect.

How is that a unique look when it looks so damn similar to a Mercedes S-Class? Especially the headlights and the entire rear end.

The reason people care about the brand so much is because of reliability. Would you buy a supercar made by a trailer truck company like freight liner? Or one made by Aston Martin? One made by freightliner would probably have less performance, and also be heavier. If you buy something from Aston Martin, you know it will be good because of how long they've been making supercars.
