After many, many countless hours in front of my animation program, I have finally put together a video for one of my more popular originals, "Schoolyard Bully". This tedious project features animated characters much like that seen in my "Vowel Song" video, but I spent a lot more time on them, so the quality is a bit higher (certainly not high quality animations, but better than last time).

The song comes from 1994, and was originally written in a horse barn in Seabrook, TX. It depicts the story of one young lad who is tormented by the local bully and the events that surround such torments. In the end, though, the protagonist makes out better than the bully.

I play the guitar on this tune, perform all of the vocals, and of course play the bass. The drums were programmed in Acid Pro, but very closely resemble the original drum beat.

PS. No, I have not stopped making covers. I just have been involved in a lot of originals projects lately.

Animations were created using characters generated with South Park Studio http://www.sp-studio.de/.

  • Wow...thank you. You know, I am not in the best of moods today, and someone complimenting this original video makes me feel better. Thanks again.

  • what band does this?

  • No band....just me. Although when I wrote the tune, the band was called Mojo Bobfoot.

  • I definitely hear the Iron Maiden influence. There is no denying it! Helen Keller could hear it. It sounds like a cross between Iron Maiden and Primus. Your heavy bass lines come through for sure. Don't be hard on yourself as far as the guitar playing is concerned. I started playing guitar, but now when I pick up my Strat I know that I sound like a bass player, which I find that I can do some cool melodies that most guitarist would not have thought about.

  • lol i never realized how epic this song was when i first heard it

  • Sounds kinda like a primus jam

  • Rest in peace bro.

  • Good god man, if I had known you by the time this had been concieved I would have been honoured to play drums for you. Great song, sounds like Primus, but not, weird how that works. And the singing? I'll be honest I love singers who are different and you're up there, great song, Rust In Peace, say hi to Cliff and all the other musical talents who were taken too early.

  • Les would be proud.

  • Epic

  • that riff at 2:17 reminds me of some kid saying "Ha ha ha HA ha ha!" That was awesome man!

  • This is so....primus-y. It sounds really cool and pretty funny

  • 2:17 , you my friend are sick!
