The Eyed Hawk-Moth (Smerinthus ocellata) caterpillar eats leaves from willow and apple trees. The willow leaf was eaten in a few minutes.

I used to keep about 60 friliatary caterpillars in a llarge container and I heard them make the leaf 'CRUNCH'
